GEORGE BEER

PLAQUE TEXT:

This ball field is dedicated to Mr. George Beer 1937-2018. George was dedicated to serving his community. He was amongst the founding members for the Thurlow Volunteer Fire Department, deputy reeve, and reeve in Thurlow for 18 years, member of Belleville City Council for 9 years, active member at St. Mark's United Church in Cannifton, and avid sports fan all throughout his life. George will be remembered by the love he had for his community - always striving to make a positive difference. Last but not least, he love he had for his family.
