TWEED CHURCH BELL
ST. JOHN'S UNITED CHURCH MEMORIAL BELL TOWER
The bell was donated by the Epworth League in 1892 after the original bell was destroyed in a church fire. It was used for decades as the Tweed Village fire bell and was rung continuously for 1 hour at the end of WWII. Failing structure resulted in the removal of the bell from the church tower in 2002.
The tower was paid by memorial funds; those who left before us. "You are the light of the world..." Matt. 5:14. Dedicated on Oct. 25, 2009
